POSTPARTUM DOULA SERVICES
"The postpartum hormone drop is considered the single largest sudden hormone change in the shortest amount of time for any human being, at any point of their life cycle."
-Aviva Romm, MD
4th Trimester and Beyond
Beginning immediately after birth and up through your first year with your new baby, I'm there for you and your family as you acclimate to the changing routines and daily questions of new parenthood (even if you're not a first-time parent!)
Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
A big part of my role as a doula is holding space for you to process and share the emotional and mental challenges that accompany the inevitable stressors and massive hormonal shifts of the fourth trimester. In addition to alleviating your overwhelm and providing a non-judgmental ear, I'm trained to watch for signs of perinatal mood disorders and help you with resources and additional support if needed
Physical Support
I provide hands-on help in the comfort of your home, with everything from nourishment and rest for mama, to feeding support, to light housework, to meal prep, to newborn care, to running errands...and more

Overnight Care

Sleepless nights rank high on every new parent's list of challenges, and rest is crucial to physical and mental recovery from birth. Overnight doula care can look like bringing your baby to you for feeds or taking over bottle feeding, diaper changes, infant sleep support, light meal prep or quiet chores. Just because your little is having a rough night doesn't mean you have to ;)
Non-Biased Information
New baby life is full of questions...you deserve answers that are evidence-based and trusted. I can help you avoid the minefield of misinformation out there and build on your own confidence in making the best choices for your family
Local Resources

Often parents are looking to "deepen their bench" of postpartum support (we love a good meal delivery service or an in-home lactation consultant!) I maintain an ever-growing list of local resources to supplement my own services
